Privacy Policy — Custom Tab Title Rename — Bulk URL to Title Mapping

Last updated: March 23, 2026

This page describes how the Chrome extension Custom Tab Title Rename — Bulk URL to Title Mapping (“the Extension”) handles information. The Extension is published by the developer account listed on the Chrome Web Store listing.

Summary

The Extension does not collect personal data, does not send your browsing data to our servers, and does not use analytics or advertising. We do not operate backend servers for this Extension. Your saved tab names (including those remembered per page address), optional URL mappings, and related metadata are stored locally on your device using Chrome’s extension storage APIs.

What is stored

The Extension may store: (1) for each tab you rename, a custom title and related metadata (for example, a tab identifier and the page URL last associated with that tab); (2) a local map of normalized page addresses to the title you saved from the top field, so that name can be restored when you revisit or reopen that address; and (3) optional URL mappings you create in the mapping section (a normalized address and title). This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to us.

Permissions

The Extension uses Chrome permissions such as storage, tabs, scripting, webNavigation, and access to ordinary web pages so it can update the tab title in the browser. These permissions are used only to provide the renaming feature and related behavior described in the store listing.

Third parties

The Extension does not sell your data. We do not integrate third-party analytics or advertising SDKs in the Extension as described here.

Changes

We may update this policy if the Extension’s behavior changes. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when it does.
